Mona Lisa's Sword Personal Safety Training (PST)S.M.

The MLS PST focuses on physical defense skills for safety training. Ideal for the physically fit, yet appropriate and adaptable for a mature audience or special needs students.

This course includes appropriate information for risk reduction and critical information on de-escalation and prevention, yet has a hands-on training focus. Learn the physical skills of stance and movement, blocking and striking, escapes, counter-attacks, and advanced physical defense, in a supportive, non-competitive, and safe environment.

Conflict Resolution (CR)

Resolving conflict without abuse or violence is important at home, in our schools, and at work, for adults, young adults, and children. This training opportunity Includes: an overview of CR theory; benefits of conflict; assertive communication; the positions model for successful resolutions; recognizing ploys, manipulation and hidden agendas; effective skills for emotional processing; skills evaluation; 3rd party interventions; and safety issues during conflict.

Facilitation Skills for Leaders

This leadership program begins with an overview of group and partner dynamics and offers hands-on facilitation practice and discussion including: the discovery-based model for learning; authority without authoritarianism; mission statements; communication and listening skills; negotiation and boundary-setting; project-management basics; balancing vision, creativity, and productivity; facilitating upset and conflict resolution; delegating and out-sourcing tasks; and building leaders through peer-training.
